January 10, 2009 Guild Minutes

The HWGL met on January 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.

Members present were Cheryl Rennick, Jean Whitmore, Jan Tooker, Eva Bartlett, Catherine Easton, Gary Higgins and Mary Howell.

The minutes were read and approved.

There was no Treasurer's report.

The Jennifer Moore Workshop will be on Sunday, March 8. The cost is $40 and should be sent to John Geppert. There is a limit of 20 people. Details, such as time and location, will be announced later.

New Business: We need a system in place to pass responsibilities around. Cheryl moved that people be elected for two year terms, with one re-election possible. The motion was seconded and passed. Jan moved that we begin the nomination process in May, with elections at the December potluck. This was seconded and passed.

Cheryl announced that there is an Art Fair at Westminster Presbyterian Church, February 21 and 22 from 10 to 4 on Saturday and 9 to 2 on Sunday. They would like someone to demonstrate.

Gloria Cyr, long time guild member, died in December.

Jean Whitmore had a letter from Peter Collingwood about the price of a rug that the guild owns.

Eva wants to buy a table loom with 4-6 harnesses.

Catherine has a show at the Noyes Gallery in May.

Dues are due now. Studio use is $150 for the year and guild dues are $30.
