Guild Minutes, July 12, 2008

The Handweavers Guild of Lincoln met at 1 p.m. on July 12, 2008.

Members present were Gary Higgins, John Geppert, Eva Bartlett, Judy Johnson, Cheryl Rennick, Catherine Easton, Jan Tooker, Jan Jaecks, Lori Beck, Sarah Howell, Nancy Sutton and Mary Howell.

John Geppert presented the treasurer's report. He also mentioned that someone has donated a very good shop vac. Jan Tooker will mail dues notices in January. A TV, VCR, and a vacuum cleaner are available. It was moved that Nancy take the vacuum for use in the Bridge ministry. This was approved. The VCR will go to Goodwill, and the TV to Schaefer's to be recycled. John recommended that we buy some true light lamps. It was decided that Cheryl would shop for two, and also buy several heavy duty extension cords.

The Temari Ball workshop will be on September 13 at 10 a.m. These will be for sale at the October craft sale. Catherine will compile a list of policies for the studio which will be included in the next year book. Paint day(s) will be the week-end of August 23.

Catherine needs more volunteers to demonstrate at Camp Creek next Saturday and Sunday, and also at the State Fair on August 24. We were encouraged to enter our work in the State Fair. The applications are available on-line at www.StateFair.org and are due on August 1. The items are due on August 6, 7 and 8.

The guild meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary Howell, Secretary
