·        Cheryl updated the auto payment amount for rent from $345 to $385.            
Guild Groups / Projects / Classes
·        Overshot Project – No updates
·        Rug Group
o   Is looking for more people to participate in the Rug Show, as of now there are only 5 people participating.
o   May have a rug class to encourage participation 
·        Sale Committee
o   Met this morning to discuss this year’s Annual Sale
o   Keep an eye out for more information via email
o   Paperwork will be available at next month’s Guild meeting 
·        Classes / Workshops / Programs
o   2017 Summer Weavathon
§  Full weave date – 6/17/17, 7/22/17, 8/19/17
§  7 people participated in the 6/17/17 weave date
§  All pieces finished by 9/16/17
§  All participants must warp a loom; if a loom is open you can start warping today.
§  Projects include scarves, dish towels and clothes, shawls and rag rugs
§  All projects must be off the loom and finished by 9/16/17
§  If you use your own warp this cost will be figured into the price of the item so you can be reimbursed
§  If you have a picture of your pattern please post it on the loom so others can see it
o   Annual Sale 10/7/17  -  10a – 5p
§  Reminder all fiber related pieces of good quality are welcome
o   Fall Beginning Weaving – 10/21/17 – 11/25/17  - 9:00 – 12p

§  Class has been submitted for the SCC catalog

o   Kelly Church Basket Weaving Workshop at St Mary’s College – Spring 2018
§  We still haven’t heard from them, Joan will make 1 last attempt to contact them

Old Business
·        Lock change – We are still looking for 2 or 3 people to discuss policy for lock changes
o   Mandy and Victoria volunteered
·        Studio lease
o   5 yr lease
o   If rent is 5 days late there will be a $100 late fee
o   Rent of $385 is auto payment on the 28th of each month
o   No smoking or animals except service animals
o   Requires $1,000,000 liability insurance
§  Need to contact insurance company to make sure meet this requirement
o   Improvements must have written permission from landlord
o   Soft copy of lease in on the computer, hard copy in file cabinet

New Business 
·        Jan and Cheryl had new business cards made for $20, they will be kept in office by “mail drop”
·        Facebook ranked the top 100 weaving blogs – we are number 67
·        Nancy sent an invitation to demo at State Fair in Grand Island next month.  We will decline this year due to short notice.  Perhaps next year.  Fiber arts in the past have not been displays well and demo area was not good. 

·        Catherine brought a Thinking of You card for Gary Higgins and a card for Fred who has lung cancer
·        Programs
o   8/12/17 – Cheryl, Using a Warping Paddle
o   9/9/17 – Catherine, Indigenous Weaving Techniques from populations of North and South America
o   11/11/17 – Elaine, Needleweaving Jewelry
o   12/9/17 – Holiday party / potluck
