·         We now have $100 in petty cash to make change.
·         Voices of Hope sent us a thank you letter for our donation in a fund raising raffle.  The wall hanging donated was valued at $100 total raised was $1,200.

o   Walk in and Weave

o   Advanced Spinning – Thurs 5-7p – 5/11/17 – 6/15/17
§  Jane Mailand will be teaching
§  Class not offered through SCC
§  Focus on wheel Spinning

o   Quilt Museum Art Market  -  11/17/17  3-7,   11/18/17  10-4
o   St Mary’s College has asked us to host a Basket Weaving Workshop at no cost to us.  We all agreed this would be a good opportunity for us but we have some questions:
§  What is the maximum number of students?
§  Will the workshop be held at The Studio or at The College?
§  How much prepping and time commitment is needed?
§  What is the schedule and is it flexible?
§  Joan emailed Chris Krampe, no response yet.
o   Robyn Spady – Cutting Loose with Tied Weaves – 9/15/18 – 9/16/18
§  Cost – TBD
§  All 8 harness looms must be freed up by August 1st 2018, notices will be posted on these looms.

Old Business
·         2017 Summer Weavathon
o   10 participants so far
o   All participants must warp a loom; if a loom is open you can start warping today.
o   Projects include scarves, dish towels and clothes, shawls and rag rugs
o   All projects must be off the loom and finished by 9/16/17
o   If you use your own warp this cost will be figured into the price of the item so you can be reimbursed
o   If you have a picture of your pattern please post it on the loom so others can see it
·         Fiber Festival in York was well organized and attended.  Lots of Midwest area demonstrators and vendors.
o   They are looking for help teaching and demonstrating next year if you are interested we can add it to our calendar of events, details TBD.
·         Ridged heddle looms can be checked out when not in use for classes just like all other Studio looms and wheels.

New Business 
·         Cheryl is working on an updated directory; please update your information on the 2015 directory on the table in the classroom.  The new master directory will be stored on the Studio computer.
·         Omaha Guild is conducting a workshop 6/2/17 – 6/4/17
o   Pre-wound warps $160 plus $25 material fee
o   Emily is attending if you want to car pool

·         Field Trip – Bone Creek Museum, David City – Sat 5/20/17
o   150 artist exhibit
o   Meet at Studio at 10am, stop at Seward library 10:30ish, David City at 11:30 ish, return to Seward for yarn shop
